What was your favorite part of this week?Spending most the week in Lipari.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?I got sick for a little bit, but am better now!

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. I tried to keep my room clean and organized it better.

Tell us about your week!I had a great week. I have had longer conversations with both boys and I think they are speaking great. They understand really well and they ask great questions. Their speaking is good too. Over the past couple weeks, I have been impressed with how well both of them speak and listen, and anytime they don’t understand, they are willing to ask me to say it a different way so that they are better understanding.

This week I also had the chance to go to Lipari. V’s family invited me to go down with them as they were staying there, so I took a night train and a ferry to meet them down there. Lipari is so beautiful. It is one of the Aeolian Islands and really everywhere you go is an amazing viewpoint. V’s family also took us on a boat ride to one of the other islands, Salina, where we went swimming. One of the kids was stung by a jellyfish (ouch!) so we cut swimming just a little short to go eat lunch.

Throughout the week V and I traveled on a vespa to get around the island (I never knew Vespas were so fun!), and even one of the days we decided to drive around the whole island, which actually only takes an hour. It was super beautiful, and we stopped at some of the beaches which were amazing. There was even a stop where we could see all of the Aeolian Islands. I was so grateful for V’s family to have invited me down, it was so much fun!
