What were you grateful for this week?
My Rome Abroad friends.

What was the most challenging part of this week?

The heat!! Keeps getting hotter each week

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
This week L & I spend some time alone and it was lovely we played ping pong and laughed the whole time! A & I as well this week I was able to teach her the ABC’s in English, she already knew it in Italian of course and it sounds similar so she nailed it with the song!

Tell us about your week!
This past week was a lovely week, even though it has been super hot I am still enjoying my time here. I loved hearing my host daughter sing in English since she doesn’t really speak a lot of it.
Throughout the week in my free time I went to check out the Vatican Museums, I did not expect it to be long but it was so nice! Especially the Sistine Chapel was BEAUTIFUL!! I’m amazed of how amazing it looks.

I also went with K to eat burritos and nachos that she found nearby and wow it was so nice to have something similar to what I eat back home — they even had hot sauces and jalapeños. I love spicy stuff so that was delicious but of course the food always tastes a little different but I still enjoyed my close enough Mexican food.

On another day I went to check out the Pantheon, I wasn’t able to go inside since I went around the afternoon. My friend K from Rome Abroad had a couple friends visiting her so she invited me and a couple other girls from Rome Abroad as well to go out and have dinner with them. We walked around Rome for a bit and we were able to talk and sit in front of a museum which was lovely since the sun wasn’t out anymore so it was cool breeze.

This past weekend I went to Perugia, Italy. This was a totally last minute plan with B & E but last minute unexpected plans end up being the best ones. It was my first time meeting E and she was so lovely I’m so sad I didn’t meet her way before but this was honestly one of the most chill and fun weekends I’ve had. Since it is such a small city we really didn’t have so much to walk which I loved and the weather was amazing, it wasn’t hot I was able to breathe fresh breeze air probably one of the first weekends where I am not sweating so much lol. Everything was close by and it was nice to walk around the city and see the amazing views it had. We even saw their flea markets they have on Sundays and everything is vintage, it was so nice I loved it!
