How close everything is together in Rome.

A wow moment was seeing the David statue. 

Tell us about your week!
The week was the normal kind of stuff, wake up every day to make breakfast and help with the kids, get them ready for school and pick them up after and take them places and all of that. 

 

The weekend was fun because I spent it in Florence. I was supposed to go to London because my university friends from the states were going to be there, but they didn’t let me know about their flights or airbnb until way last minute, so when i went to book the flights the tickets were 150-250  euros a person. I was going to bring some friends along too but we decided that that would be too much. So instead we went toFlorence which was a lot cheaper and someplace that we all wanted to visit before we left. I also had to see the David statue in person while I was in Italy or I think I would have regretted almost everything. So even thought my friends were in London they understood that we just couldn’t afford a ticket for one day in London. The only flights out were on Sunday morning and i would have flown in late Friday.

 

Florence was beautiful — I think the best thing about it was that it wasn’t extremely populated. Rome was almost not fun because of all the tourist and the crowds, this felt more like a little town. I also had some of the famous Florence steak. It was very good but also easily the most expensive steak I’ll ever have. We had some really cool ice cream too that was like a flower. I’ve only seen those on famous instagram celebs posts. 

 

As for the past few weeks, my family took me to their ski house in France. It was a crazy couple weeks. the kids didn’t have school so I was with them all the time, I  taught them a few card games they taught me some too, some of the cousins were there so I got to hang out with them, some cool opportunities opened up too within their family. They went skiing every day and thats the time I got to go shopping and explore the little town. I absolutely love St. Gevais its the cutest town ever. I bought my first fur coat there at a market, everyone in milan wears fur coats in the winter. 

 

The weekends were fun too because [my host dad] took the family out to eat and we always went somewhere incredible. One of the times we took a snowmobile up to the top of a ski resort and ate under the stars in they cabin in the middle of the top. Then we bob sleded the whole way dow, it was super steep and insane. I discovered that the Fondue in France I would literally die for, I’ve never had fondue so good in my entire life. I could eat it every day and never get sick of it.
