What were you grateful for this week?
Silence.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?
Expecting the kids to be excited to learn English.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
I cooked dinner Saturday night.

Tell us about your week!
This week was the first full week I had with the kids. Each morning I have breakfast with them and then they get ready to go to daycare for the morning. During that time I help [my host mom] clean, work on my Italian, or ride the bike into town and go to the beach. Riding the bike on the street has been an adventrue. The people here are bike courteous m but it is still scary to ride on the narrow side walk or on the street with the busy cars. I have decided that it is easier to ride on the street than the narrow sidewalk.

Wednesday was the first day that I spent truly alone with the kids. Thankfully the youngest was down for a nap so I played with the oldest. We worked on some english but he does not seeem to care if he learns or not. Once the youngest woke up we played outside a bit until [my host mom] was home. The weekend was very fun this week. Saturday I spent the day exploring the town with A5 since she had just arrived on Thursday. We got lunch and rode bikes around town.

Sunday the family and I went to Piancavallo for the day. It is a small ski town about an hour outside of Lignano, there we went on the alpine coaster and rode a chairlift to the top to have lunch and walk around a little bit. On the way back we went a different way and found a little town next to a beautiful mountain lake.
