What were you grateful for this week?
I was grateful for my new friends that celebrated my 21st birthday with me in Milan.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?
The most difficult part of this week was being away from home for my birthday.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.

This week I took my host brother to a park when the weather was really good. The park was really cute and we had a good time.

Tell us about your week!
This week I turned 21 which is big in the United States but not really big in Italy. On my birthday my new friend bought me a raspberry cheesecake after our Italian class.

After, I went and got a haircut with my Italian friend. I came home and ended up teaching 2 English lessons. Thankfully my host mom let me have the rest of my day off so that I didn’t have to stay in on my birthday working.

I ended up going and getting food with my Italian friend, and then we went to my favorite bar nearby. While we were there we starting chatting and drinking. My friend that had bought me the raspberry cheesecake met us at the bar and we continued having a good time. A while later we left because I wanted to eat something. I ended up finding a kebab place where another friend of ours met us. All four of us ending up going back to the bar I like and kept on chatting and drinking. We ended up talking to some German girls that sat near us and they took our picture for us which turned out very nice.

On another note, my Italian class is amazing. I love my teacher and my classmates seem to all be really cool too. I am looking forward to next month’s classes.
