ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By accessing and using Rome Abroad services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. In addition, when using these particular services, you shall be subject to any posted guidelines or rules applicable to such services. Any participation in this service will constitute acceptance of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the terms and conditions found below, please withdraw from the Rome Abroad program.
All the information on the website of Rome Abroad is published in good faith and for general information purposes only. We do not make any warranties about the completeness, reliability and accuracy of this information. Any action you take upon the information on our website is strictly at your own risk. Rome Abroad LLC will not be liable for any losses and damages in connection with the use of our website or services.
We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to limit the sales of our services to any person, geographic region or jurisdiction. We may exercise this right on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to limit the quantities of any products or services that we offer. All descriptions of products or service pricing are subject to change at any time without notice, at the sole discretion of Rome Abroad. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time. Any offer for any product or service made on this site is void where prohibited.

While we strive to provide connections with only responsible and ethical families and individuals, we have no control over the reality and actions of these individuals. Rome Abroad LLC is not responsible for any mistreatment, abuse, neglect, or any other negative action of these individuals or the actions of anyone else with whom our clients may interact or encounter. We provide links to other websites for information purposes only. Rome Abroad LLC is not responsible for the content and accuracy of these sites.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time. Individuals with legal obligations to children will not be considered for program participation.
You understand that your content (not including credit card information), may be transferred unencrypted and involve (a) transmissions over various networks; and (b) changes to conform and adapt to technical requirements of connecting networks or devices. Credit card information is always encrypted during transfer over networks.
You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the Service, use of the Service, or access to the Service or any contact on the website through which the service is provided, without express written permission by us. The headings used in this agreement are included for convenience only and will not limit or otherwise affect these Terms.
ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS AND TIMELINESS OF INFORMATION
We are not responsible if information made available on this site is not accurate, complete or current. The material on this site is provided for general information only and should not be relied upon or used as the sole basis for making decisions without consulting primary, more accurate, more complete or timelier sources of information. Any reliance on the material on this site is at your own risk.
This site may contain certain historical information. Historical information, necessarily, is not current and is provided for your reference only. We reserve the right to modify the contents of this site at any time, but we have no obligation to update any information on our site. You agree that it is your responsibility to monitor changes to our site.
MODIFICATIONS TO THE SERVICE AND PRICES
Prices for our products are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time.
We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the Service.
PRODUCTS OR SERVICES (if applicable)
Certain products or services may be available exclusively online through the website. We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to limit the sales of our products or Services to any person, geographic region or jurisdiction. We may exercise this right on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to limit the quantities of any products or services that we offer. All descriptions of products or product pricing are subject to change at any time without notice, at the sole discretion of us. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time. Any offer for any product or service made on this site is void where prohibited
We do not warrant that the quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you will meet your expectations, or that any errors in the Service will be corrected.
PAYMENT POLICIES
CANCELLATION
Services may be cancelled without cancellation fees up until you have signed a contract and payment has been made. Once you attend orientation, you are responsible for payment. After payment, you are responsible for fulfilling the terms of your letter of intent and your contract, including completing the full time designated for the program. In the event you have signed a contract with Rome Abroad LLC and subsequently are unable to complete the terms set forth for any reason, Rome Abroad LLC reserves the right to treat such client’s contract as cancelled and void. All applicable cancellation fees shall apply. At least sixty (60) days before the starting date outlined in the letter of intent and/or agreement, you may cancel Rome Abroad services with no additional fees. If there is a cancellation due to health reasons after the program has started, a doctor’s note must be provided. Once you have started your time with the host family or school as outlined in your contract, the cancellation fee is $150 USD per client per week cancelled.
PAYMENT
All payments are due upon receipt. If a payment is not received or payment method is declined, the buyer forfeits the opportunity of any arrangements purchased. If no payment is received, no services will be given. Acceptable methods of payment are: checks, credit card, debit card, Venmo, or PayPal. Payments will be processed within one week of receipt. After acceptance to the program, the Traveler will choose a payment plan. You may choose to either a) pay upfront and receive a 10% discount or b) pay in four monthly installments, beginning at orientation. In case you back out of your intention to do the Rome Abroad program, you forfeit some or all of the program fee (depending on when you communicate your intentions to drop out). If you want to delay your date of departure, payment to that point will be honored for 18 months from the date of orientation. If you have not arranged a contract through Rome Abroad before that date, you forfeits the payment(s) made.
LATE FEES
If you cancel or do not attend your scheduled Orientation without at least 24-hour notice prior to the meeting, the required payment amount at orientation will increase by $100. This is the case for each time you do not show up for a scheduled meeting without informing Rome Abroad at least 24 hours in advance. Your program fee is due either at orientation or within 4 months after your orientation date depending on the payment plan you choose.
COVID-19 REFUND POLICY
The availability of travel is determined by the government guidelines of each country. If you need to defer your dates due to travel restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, you may do so free of charge. The original deposit (25% of the program fee) is non-refundable. However, it may be used at a future date when travel is available for that country.
REFUND/RETURN POLICY
If you need to defer your dates, you may do so at no extra cost (up to 2 years). If you decide to drop out of the program after you’ve attended orientation and your intended departure date as indicated on your letter of intent is more than 60 days away, you are eligible for a 50% refund of the program cost. The non-refundable balance is valid for up to 2 years from your original intended departure date. This amount is also transferable to a friend if you are no longer able to participate in the program. If you decide to drop out before you have signed an agreement and your intended departure date as indicated on your letter of intent is more than 60 days away, you are eligible for a 50% refund of the program cost. If you decide to drop out after you have signed an agreement (either with a host family or school) and your intended departure date as indicated on the agreement is in less than 60 days, your program fee is not refundable. Once contracts have been signed and the intended departure date is in less than 60 days, all refund opportunities are forfeited. The nature of our program requires these policies in regards to refunds due to replacement costs, inconvenience costs to the host family or school, and the investment of completing the placement. For more information, read our cancellation policy above.
REFERRAL BENEFITS
Rome Abroad Travelers and/or Graduates may refer friends to the program. The referee must include the referrer’s full name in the promo code field on their application to be eligible for any discounts. When an eligible referee is accepted to the program, they are able to receive a $70 discount on the program fee. Graduates may choose to receive either a) a $70 discount on their next program or b) $35 in Amazon credit. The referrer can receive this benefit one week after referee’s arrival to the host family.
TAXES
Rome Abroad fees are inclusive of tax. Travelers and hosts acknowledge that the ultimate responsibility for any and all taxes (including from pocket money, wages, etc.) remains his or her responsibility. We encourage Travelers and hosts to seek reputable, legal tax counsel.
ACCURACY OF BILLING AND ACCOUNT INFORMATION
We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card, and/or orders that use the same billing and/or shipping address. In the event that we make a change to or cancel an order, we may attempt to notify you by contacting the e-mail and/or billing address/phone number provided at the time the order was made. We reserve the right to limit or prohibit orders that, in our sole judgment, appear to be placed by dealers, resellers or distributors
You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made through our site. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address and credit card numbers and expiration dates, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.
OPTIONAL TOOLS
We may provide you with access to third-party tools over which we neither monitor nor have any control nor input.
You acknowledge and agree that we provide access to such tools ”as is” and “as available” without any warranties, representations or conditions of any kind and without any endorsement. We shall have no liability whatsoever arising from or relating to your use of optional third-party tools.
Any use by you of optional tools offered through the site is entirely at your own risk and discretion and you should ensure that you are familiar with and approve of the terms on which tools are provided by the relevant third-party provider(s)
We may also, in the future, offer new services and/or features through the website (including, the release of new tools and resources). Such new features and/or services shall also be subject to these Terms of Service.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS PROVISION
The intellectual property, photos, logos, designs, and content available and visible to users via the website, interviews or information packets is property of Rome Abroad LLC.
THIRD-PARTY LINKS
Certain content, products and services available via our Service may include materials from third-parties.
Third-party links on this site may direct you to third-party websites that are not affiliated with us. We are not responsible for examining or evaluating the content or accuracy and we do not warrant and will not have any liability or responsibility for any third-party materials or websites, or for any other materials, products, or services of third-parties.
We are not liable for any harm or damages related to the purchase or use of goods, services, resources, content, or any other transactions made in connection with any third-party websites. Please review carefully the third-party’s policies and practices and make sure you understand them before you engage in any transaction. Complaints, claims, concerns, or questions regarding third-party products should be directed to the third-party.
RELATIONSHIPS WITH ADVERTISEMENTS
As of August 2020, the website and social media sites belonging to Rome Abroad LLC have no compensated relationships with any advertising entities unless specifically indicated on a blog post. Any brand, company, or industry advocated by Rome Abroad LLC or its websites and social media sites is a free recommendation for which the aforementioned is not compensated, nor compelled to make. Thus, Rome Abroad LLC strives to maintain a trustworthy and reputable credibility and reputation. We only endorse products and services which we believe are for the best benefit of our clients.
USER COMMENTS, FEEDBACK AND OTHER SUBMISSIONS
If, at our request, you send certain specific submissions (for example contest entries) or without a request from us you send creative ideas, suggestions, proposals, plans, or other materials, whether online, by email, by postal mail, or otherwise (collectively, ‘comments’), you agree that we may, at any time, without restriction, edit, copy, publish, distribute, translate and otherwise use in any medium any comments that you forward to us. We are and shall be under no obligation (1) to maintain any comments in confidence; (2) to pay compensation for any comments; or (3) to respond to any comments.
We may, but have no obligation to, monitor, edit or remove content that we determine in our sole discretion are unlawful, offensive, threatening, libelous, defamatory, pornographic, obscene or otherwise objectionable or violates any party’s intellectual property or these Terms of Service.

PRIVACY POLICY AND PERSONAL INFORMATION
Your submission of personal information through the store is governed by our Privacy Policy. Personal information collected from users (e.g. addresses, demographic information, and credit card information) will not be shared with third-parties nor with other clients of Rome Abroad LLC. Only names and possibly demographic information will be shared with other clients if said clients are being matched. The credit card information is never stored. ERRORS, INACCURACIES AND OMISSIONS
Occasionally there may be information on our site or in the Service that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, offers, product shipping charges, transit times and availability. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, and to change or update information or cancel orders if any information in the Service or on any related website is inaccurate at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order)
We undertake no obligation to update, amend or clarify information in the Service or on any related website, including without limitation, pricing information, except as required by law. No specified update or refresh date applied in the Service or on any related website, should be taken to indicate that all information in the Service or on any related website has been modified or updated.
PROHIBITED USES

Rome Abroad is not responsible for any health or safety concerns even after you, the applicant, has departed for your journey. If any harm is incurred due to your actions or others, Rome Abroad LLC assumes no responsibility.
In no case shall Rome Abroad, our directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, interns, suppliers, service providers or licensors be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages of any kind, including, without limitation lost profits, lost revenue, lost savings, loss of data, replacement costs, or any similar damages, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise, arising from your use of any of the service or any products procured using the service, or for any other claim related in any way to your use of the service or any product, including, but not limited to, any errors or omissions in any content, or any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of the service or any content (or product) posted, transmitted, or otherwise made available via the service, even if advised of their possibility. Because some states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or the limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, in such states or jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

COPYRIGHT
The Site and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Rome Abroad LLC and are protected by international copyright and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.
HEALTH/TRAVEL INSURANCE
Rome Abroad LLC will not provide health, medical, or travel insurance. Travel insurance is highly recommended. Travel insurance can cover complications such as cancellations, medical expenses, evacuations, loss or delays, and 24/7 assistance. The type of coverage, whether to purchase coverage, and which insurance agency to solicit is the decision of the client. Rome Abroad LLC is not liable nor held responsible for the actions of this insurance agency or the client’s decision.
INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Rome Abroad and our parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, officers, directors, agents, contractors, licensors, service providers, subcontractors, suppliers, interns and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third-party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms of Service or the documents they incorporate by reference, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third-party.
SEVERABILITY
In the event that any provision of these Terms of Service is determined to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, such provision shall nonetheless be enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and the unenforceable portion shall be deemed to be severed from these Terms of Service, such determination shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any other remaining provisions.
TERMINATION
The obligations and liabilities of the parties incurred prior to the termination date shall survive the termination of this agreement for all purposes
These Terms of Service are effective unless and until terminated by either you or us. You may terminate these Terms of Service at any time by notifying us that you no longer wish to use our Services, or when you cease using our site.
If in our sole judgment you fail, or we suspect that you have failed, to comply with any term or provision of these Terms of Service, we also may terminate this agreement at any time without notice and you will remain liable for all amounts due up to and including the date of termination; and/or accordingly may deny you access to our Services (or any part thereof).
ENTIRE AGREEMENT
The failure of us to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms of Service shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

You are agreeing that any and all legal actions brought against us shall only be brought in the State of Utah in Salt Lake County. You are also consenting to personal jurisdiction to the courts located in the State of Utah, Salt Lake County as to any action brought against us.
