What were you grateful for this week?
The ocean.
What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?
Most difficult part of my week would probably finding places to eat out that wouldn’t make me sick. I have celiac and went out to Gold Coast for a week but it was difficult finding places that accommodated a wheat allergy!
Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
My family was on a vacation, I don’t think I had one this week!
Tell us about your week!
This week was so relaxing. I spent a lot of my time at the beach in Surfers Paradise, I also met so many new friends this week. Met a few people from Canada, the States, Nepal, and Ireland! Hostels are just so perfect for meeting new people.
I was able to make it to movie world for one of my Canadian friend’s birthdays which was really fun! It’s definitely not as crowded as Disney World or even boondocks would be back in the states. Which is wild to me because the rides were so so so fast and had so many twists and turns. The food was really fresh and yummy which back home it’s carnival food so nothing special. After movie world we went out for Canada’s birthday and even woke up for the sunrise!
I woke up almost every morning for the sunrise last week. It’s unbelievable how beautiful it is reflecting on the water. I was really hoping to hike to some sites this last week at Burleigh Heads but the odds just weren’t in my favor.
My favorite part about Brisbane right now would probably be all of the flowers and trees waking up from the winter time. It looks so tropical here it’s hard to believe that it’s a country town! By far my favorite season here so far, winter was just too cold!
