What were you grateful for this week?
I was grateful for the amazing glimpse of spring weather that showed up in Milan for a few days this week.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?
The most difficult part about this week was finishing my Italian course with my really cool teacher that I will miss.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
On Thursday I worked a full day with my Italian family and took my host brother and his friend to the museum by our house. It was a really nice way to get the kids out of the house and learn something.

Tell us about your week!
This week was pretty fun. On Tuesday I took my host brother to a park that is near our apartment. This park was new for me and it was actually very beautiful. It is a park that is meant for kids under the age of 12 accompanied by an adult, so it is supposed to be a safer atmosphere.

The weather this week was the best that it has been so far in my time in Milan. I think spring is officially deciding to come around, including the spring showers. This was Easter (Pasqua) weekend so my host family went on a trip to Venice in the mountains where my host mom’s family lives. Due to my homework I stayed in Milan but I had a fun and relaxing weekend nonetheless.

On Saturday I went to the movies with my Italian friend and I decided to watch a movie in Italian without subtitles. I felt like I understood 80% of the spoken dialogue so that was a great feeling.

Yesterday on Easter I went to the park by my house and went for a walk. There was a ton of people in the park even though I was told that a large amount of people leave Milan on holidays when they don’t have to work. The weather was warm enough to make me debate on taking my sweater off. I am definitely looking forward to the summer.
