What were you grateful for this week?
Meeting new au pairs outside of Rome Abroad.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?
I can honestly say that this week was fairly easy! I had some issues with the younger boy and his tantrums, but overall, it was a very nice week!

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
I think my “wow” moment would be the fact that the kids are warming up to me (which is a bummer since I leave next week!). But it’s been nice to see them wanting to involve me in things!

Tell us about your week!
What a fun week! After getting back from Ireland, I got a little sad because I just didn’t feel like coming home! But after a really easy week with the family, it made me feel so much better! It was the last week of school for the boys which they are very excited about! So on Friday we got to celebrate with pizza & gelato! Definitely a great combination. I had a few tough moments with the youngest kid this week. Mostly just his tantrums he likes to throw, but all is well!

This weekend I got to go to Milan! And what a beautiful trip it was! To be honest, there isn’t much to do in Milan, but the cathedral makes up for lack of things to see. The duomo is just breathtaking! It’s amazing to see such detail and to think that someone built that! We looked it up and it took about 600 years to build! And it recently just finished in 1965.

On Sunday we got to go to Lake Como which was just such a view! Not going to lie, it was complicated to get there and that wasn’t something I was anticipating. We had to take a bus to go to a different town to swim. But we actually had to hike to that place to swim and there are no beaches. So just a few hiccups along the way. But I got to meet two other au pairs that aren’t with Rome Abroad and that was so much fun! It’s so great that I get to meet people from all around the world!
