My host parents wanted to go out to dinner with their friends Wednesday night. So I had the opportunity to make dinner and watch [my host family’s daughter] for them that night.
Tell us about your week!
Let me just start this by saying how much I LOVE BARCELONA. I’ve always loved the food, culture, people and pretty much everything about Spain. So being able to visit in real life was an actual dream.
I was able to meet up with C and S. Unfortunately the airbnb host said that three people were not allowed in her home. So as I was boarding my flight to Barcelona, I had to book a hostel. Which I didn’t mind at all, I was lucky to find a room for that same night. And I was extremely lucky that I booked this particular hostel. It was literally the most fun I have had in a hostel. ever. It was truly a blessing in disguise.
The first night was filled with drinks, dancing, and new friends. We roamed around Barcelona’s city center and visited the shops. On Sunday we decided to go sightseeing with our new friend Juan. We were able to go to the Sagrada Familia, Bunkers del Camel, Park Guell and Gaudi’s home. We watched the Barcelona vs Madrid game at a bar and of course had some delicious Paella for dinner. We ended the night hanging out at my hostel with our new friends.
C and S had to leave really early Monday morning so I was able to spend the day by myself. No one in the hostel wanted to wake up early to go to Gothic Quarter so I just went on my own, but I didn’t mind it at all.
I was genuinely so happy my entire trip. There was so much beauty and awe to take it. I loved it so much. I will most definitely go back to visit again.
