What were you grateful for this week?
I’m grateful that Italy is different enough from home to provide me with tons of inspiration. Everything from the unique food they eat to the street art at turn catches my attention.
What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?
The hardest part of this week was determining it would be better to save my money for other trips rather than go to Venice. It’s hard to decide between really great things. I wish I could see it all but it’s wont work out this time around.
Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
The boys are now completely comfortable around me. They get so excited to play with me which makes me so happy. It’s going to be really hard to leave them.
Tell us about your week!
This week was another quiet week. The biggest change was my mom sent me my laptop. This has made applying to college so much easier as well as allowed to me finish my flight school stuff. Basically, I’ve been super productive, even compared to other weeks here I’ve accomplished a lot and will continue to check things off my “To Do” list.
I really wanted to go to Venice this weekend but it turned out to be too expensive and didn’t work out. It’s disappointing that I won’t be able to see it this time around in Italy, but at least I have and will see a lot of this country while I’m here. My upcoming itinerary is Cinque Terre and Rome, both of which I’m extremely excited for.
After those, I’m home! It’s crazy that my remaining time here is dwindling so much. It has gone by so fast. There’s so much I miss about America that I now will appreciate so much more when I’m back. I’m also so excited to see my friends and family, but I regret how much I haven’t seen. This country is so full of little cities and towns and sights. I hope I’ll get to return soon after leaving to finish exploring all Italy has to offer.
