What were you grateful for this week?My host mom! She has been so helpful in helping me plan my weekend trips.
What was the most challenging part of this week?Being in a different time zone than my family. Sometimes when I want to call them, but I can’t because they are sleeping. ????????
Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.I made sure all the beds were made this week, sometimes when they are in a hurry to get to school or work, they don’t have time.
Tell us about your week! This week was so fun, because I got to spend some quality time with my host child. We had pizza for dinner and made chocolate chip cookies, then watched a movie while we ate them. She is super sweet and fun. I have also enjoyed my time exploring more of Merano, it really is such a fun and beautiful place.
I was also really excited this week to spend a day in a new city. Trento was beautiful and had so many sights to see. First I went to the MUSE museum, which had everything you would expect in a museum and more. There were 7 floors and each explored the world and beyond in their own way. My favorite level was probably the space level and the ocean level. Then I went to the Piazza duomo square and had pizza for lunch. I also tried gelato for the first time even though I’ve already been in Italy for over 2 weeks, it was delicious! Then, I also explored a castle. It was my first time going inside a castle. I loved it! It was called Castello del Buonconsiglio, what made it even better was that it was a museum. So, I got to see clothes, weapons, jewelry, coins, and more. And the ancient wood painted ceilings and walls were amazing. Trento was definitely worth seeing and maybe one day I can go again.
