What were you grateful for this week?
I was grateful for good food and friends.
What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?
The most challenging part of this week was the hot weather. Having to walk around the city on the weekend in the heat was not always pleasant.
Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
My “wow” moment this week was that I volunteered to help out at my little girl’s English Day at school. I had to prepare games and stories for several classrooms of nine year olds. It wasn’t the easiest thing in the world, but I know that my little girl was soooo happy that I came to her class.
Tell us about your week!
The week went by so fast! Full of lots of games, yummy food, and funny moments. I helped out at English Day at my little girl’s school on Friday and right after was on a train to Florence.
Each weekend is a new adventure. Florence was beautiful, but it was extremely difficult for us to figure out the buses around the city. We ended up getting on the wrong bus multiple times and got lost Friday night and had to walk home. We didn’t get in until midnight and we were exhausted.
Then the next day was full of more walking and checking out all the museums. One of my favorites from this trip was seeing the David statue. For me it was one of those moments that I will never forget. It was absolutely amazing. I also got to meet up with some of the friends that I met at the train station in Rome when we hand to band together and stay up all night. We met for dinner and then they took us to the best lookout point in Florence. Church was also a highlight of the weekend. Church was held in the cutest yellow building. Then we booked it Pisa for one hour just to take pictures with the tower and then we had to book it back so that we could all make our trains to go back to our cities.
