What were you grateful for this week?
meeting new people! we met up with N2 for the weekend and it was so fun to get to know her and travel together!

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?
the language barrier is still the toughest part. [My host family’s daughter] had a bit of a meltdown and it was hard to understand what was upsetting her and how best to help since we cant really communicate. 

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
the twins were sick this week so it was a more stressful week for the nanny, so in my spare time I played with the twins to give her a break!

Tell us about your week!
I had a pretty relaxed week, just hanging around gallarate in my free time with H and relaxing with the family. Tried a few new cafes, trying to find our favorite hot chocolate spot! It’s nice to finally feel in the swing of things and have a routine down. I am so appreciative of my host family they are amazing and so so sweet. 

 

This weekend H and I met up with N2 and went to Lake Como! We stayed in a cute little airbnb in Mandello Del Lario and loved it! It was breathtakingly beautiful! We couldn’t get over the lake views and how gorgeous everything was!! The villages we visited were so quaint and charming!! We loved walking around and seeing all the sights and the pretty buildings. We took a train into Varenna one day and explored around there and then took a ferry from Varenna to Bellagio for a bit as well! It was MAGICAL! 

 

The mountains on the lake were so so pretty and the villages tucked up in the hills were so colorful and full of character! It was really fun to train hop and run around and visit new places together. We ate great food and met cool people and just could not get over the beauty of Lake Como! Favorite trip so far!!
