What were you grateful for this week?
SPRING TIME????

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?
My feet hurt so bad from walking!! Haha.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
The kids wanted to do experiments so we got a kit and they worked on making some cool science stuff. It was fun to watch them!

Tell us about your week! L
This week the kids only went to school Monday-Wednesday so I watched them all day Thursday and Friday until [my host mom] got home from work. It was rainy and gloomy so we stayed inside and played games and did homework.

On Friday night I went over to M’s families house and they invited both of us to dinner. It was the most amazing dinner I have ever had. We quite literally had a 5 course meal and talked with them for 2 hours. It was fun getting to know them and learning about Italian dinner culture. It’s so much more of an important part of the peoples lives and I wish America was more like that.

M and I walked around Gallarate and met some cool new friends who showed us some cool places to eat and get drinks. On Saturday we left for Milan. It was rainy so we hurried to our hostel and not gonna lie it was not the best hostel I have ever stayed in! But we met a cool girl who went to a nice dinner with us. The waiters thought it would be funny to keep serving us food and drinks and we got nervous with how high the bill would be…haha luckily they didn’t charge us and they laughed and joked about our reactions to all the stuff they gave us.

Easter Sunday we walked into the center and saw the Duomo. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL. Something that can only be seen in person to really understand the work and architectural talent that went into building the Cathedral. We walked around for miles and found the cutest park and lied in the sun and watched tons of cute dogs run and play around in the fountains.

M and I left Milan Sunday night and got home to Gallarate around 9pm…I was so tired from our 20 mile walk I passed out within seconds. This week was so fun and I can’t wait to make more memories like this over the next few weeks!!!
