What were you grateful for this week?
I was grateful for the time off of work that I had this week. I was able to get a lot of stuff done in my personal life that needed doing.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?
The most difficult part about this week was all of the work that I had to do for my online classes.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
This week my host parents asked me to watch my host brother for the evening and late evening so that they could go out to dinner. I ended up making dinner for my host brother and getting him ready for bed for the first time by myself.

Tell us about your week!
This week my host family was out of town for Easter. They were gone for about 10 days in total. I could have gone with them if I wanted but I had to decline because of all of the work I have on my plate due to my being a college student.

This week I went to my new Italian class for April and met a new teacher and many new students. This week I also finally found an English teacher here in a school in Milan that let me observe their classroom. I needed to find an English teacher here to observe for the past 3 months, and this week I thankfully finally succeeded. This teacher was also American and he was elated to have me there in his classroom. He treated me like a celebrity and introduced me to every single person he knew at his school. Everyone I have interacted with in this high school has been so welcoming, kind, and genuine.

This week was nice due to the fact that I have been able to sleep more than usual and catch up on the sleep I was lacking. It was also nice to be able to schedule my own life based solely on my own life. At times it is frustrating to schedule my entire life around the life of my host family so it was nice to not have to do that so much this week.
