What were you grateful for this week?

Kindness of my host family.

What was the most challenging part of this week?
Dealing with family health issues back home.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
The dad was home most of this week so I didn’t spend too much time with the child.

Tell us about your week!
It was another great week here doing the usual daily activities. I had a lot of free time so I spent it outside at the beautiful park nearby reading and walking around. I was also thankful to have spent an afternoon in the city meeting another Rome Abroad Traveler and being able to see more of Turin and visit another museum.

Unfortunately, I’ve dealt with a cold on and off throughout the week so it was challenging being sick away from home. Thankfully I was able to rest up before the weekend.

M4 and I spent our last weekend here visiting Verona. I’m so glad we were able to go there and see all the great Romeo and Juliet houses and gorgeous cathedrals. We were also able to tour the Verona arena which was incredible! I had never known much about the history of Verona but it was an amazing experience to tour around this theater that has been standing for over 2,000 years. We walked all the way to the top and the view of the whole town was indescribable. I so enjoyed the quaint streets of Verona and witnessing the history and stories surrounding the city. I’ve loved this whole experience and am so blessed to have been able to see all these amazing places! The best part was being able to share all of it with my travel buddy from home! Very thankful for my time here and I can’t wait to visit more of Europe in the future!
