What were you grateful for this week?
This week I’m grateful for where I’m living and who I’m living with this week. Trastevere is gorgeous and my host family is so nice!

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?
Getting unpacked and my room situated.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
This week, instead of having my Saturday night off I watched the kids and let my host parents go out for dinner and drinks.

Tell us about your week!
So I haven’t exactly been here 1 full week yet, but I arrived on Wednesday. And it’s been amazing! I’m living in Trastevere and it is a gorgeous area full of life and activities. My second day here it was so beautiful outside so I decided to walk around. It’s so beautiful and everything is in walking distance. I went to a little gelato place called blue ice and got a homeade nutella crepe that was so yummy!

My host family is amazing, they are so nice and I’m already so in love with the 2 kids I watch. Monday through Friday I watch the kids and take them to all their activities.

The apartment building that I live in is close to everything, so most of the kids activities are in walking distance! So it’s so nice to walk and just see the beautiful place that I’m living right now. Ive already learned so much about the kids I watch and I’ve learned a lot about myself too, I’ve learned a few Italian words from the kids because I help them with their homework a lot of times, and their homework is in Italian.

I’ve really just enjoyed being in a completely different setting. Where I live it’s always busy with tourists, so even at night it’s loud outside my window, it’s going to take some getting used to but it’s really cool to see the night life and just how alive this place is!
