What were you grateful for this week?
Receiving warm coats from Italian boys ????

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?
Saying goodbye to warm weather and all the sunshine.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
I stayed home with the children one night while the parents went out and had a date night. ❤️

Tell us about your week!

This week has been one of my favorites while being in Italy. As hard as it is saying goodbye to all of the sunshine I am SO EXCITED for fall in Italy!!! Most of my week was spent outdoors walking through gardens and parks. I love how big and beautiful Milan’s parks are.

On Friday M2 and I went out for pizza at one of our favorite pizza places we found. It gets better and better every time we go.

Over the weekend S, K, and I went to Venezia. Venice was like nothing I’ve ever seen before. On Saturday night we met some VERY VERY friendly Italian boys who lent us some jackets and took us out to eat..sounds so romantic but they actually just took us to Mcdonald’s. I’m not complaining though. I discovered that Mcdonald’s has fries covered with nacho cheese. Sometimes you just need some unhealthy comfort food. They also tried teaching us some Italian all night. K was a pro. Like this girl could be a fluent Italian speaker if the whole language was just saying “Piacere di conoscerti” (nice to meet you) over and over again.

Sunday we played tourist and walked around all day. We walked until we were lost. Trust me when I say there is no better feeling than being lost in Venice. That evening we rode the gondola with the cutest Russian couple on their honeymoon. We ate dinner on the Island but we still ended up back at mcdonald’s that night for some more cheese fries.

I am loving my weekend vacations and the wonderful friends I have made throughout this experience. I can’t wait for all of my upcoming trips. Stay tuned.
