What were you grateful for this week?
Very helpful friends and host family!

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?
Probably getting my wallet stolen…yeah… definitely getting my wallet stolen.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.

I have been having the best time with the girl I watch singing karaoke and playing “Just dance!”

Tell us about your week!
This week has come and gone SO FAST! The girl I watch had another school trip (this time to Rome!) so she left again early in the week. She loves to sing and dance so we have been doing lots of karaoke and “Just Dance” on YouTube. Is it fun? Yes. Do I have talent? No. Haha.

This past weekend I had a trip planned with some other girls here to Florence and Pisa! Let’s just say I was not expecting the amount of walking that goes into a city like Florence! The city is FULL of character, beautiful buildings, art and so much more!

We had the chance to visit their two main museums, the “Uffizi” and the “Accademia” with great works like the statue of David and “The birth of Venus.” We ate some some real good food and some real good gelato (after finding our favorite place, of course!). We even got to make our own Magnum bar which was definitely one of the trip highlights!

On Sunday we were able to attend church (LDS church) in Florence where we ran into a bunch of students from Utah and then go see the leaning tower of Pisa!

Unfortunately during the trip my wallet was stolen, which really puts a damper on things. But I was so lucky that my passport or phone weren’t taken and that I really didn’t lose that much money! Plus, there were too many good things that happened this weekend to dwell on the one bad thing that happened.
Loving Italy and all it has to offer!!
