What were you grateful for this week?
Grateful for the kindness of strangers!

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?
Flying alone ????

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
Even though I wasn’t supposed to start working yet, I offered to watch their little girl so that my host mom could take a nap! She was so grateful!

Tell us about your week!
I saw so many things this week! In one day, I was able to see Trevi fountain, Piazza Navona, the monument of Emanuel, and some super cool ruins! My favorite place so far was Piazza Navona, probably because it was the first place I saw, but it wasn’t as crowded as the rest of the places. I didn’t realize where I was at first, and saw a lot of tourists going down one street, so I decided to follow them and was led to the piazza and my first historically beautiful site in Italy!

Everything here is so close together and easy to get to. My feet are starting to hurt a little from all the walking! Italy is even more breathtaking in person than I ever imagined! Everything I have seen has been absolutely incredible!

My host family has been so welcoming! My first night here, I met their oma (grandma). She came to make us all dinner, and let me tell you, it was amazing! Zucchini pasta, ham, cheese, and bread. The little girl refuses to speak to me in English and is a master of the eye roll, but is just so darn cute while doing it! I have had so much fun getting to know the family and seeing as much of italy as I possibly can! It’s starting to feel like three months isn’t long enough!
