What were you grateful for this week?
I was grateful for good weather and sunshine this week!

What was the most challenging part of this week?
The most challenging part of this week was missing everyone at home a little extra.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
This week a wow moment I had helping out my host family was helping with the kids quite a bit later than usual.

Tell us about your week!
This week I spent some time in Rome with the other girls here. We met up and got smoothies, gelato, and some late night pizza (and gelato again of course).

I took my first trip alone and spent the weekend in Venice. Everyone else was busy this weekend but I knew I had to see Venice while I was here or I’d die! Going was the best decision I made, Venice is AMAZING!! I now understand why it is so popular haha. Being in such an awesome place definitely made me wish I had people to share it with but it was good for me to be alone so I could take as many pictures as I wanted, and that was definitely a lot! I honestly couldn’t believe how perfect it was there. I love that there were no cars in the streets and you could just wander wherever and it would be beautiful no matter where you ended up! I spent a lot of time wandering and taking it all in. It was cool to me to imagine what it would have been like when Venice way back when! Now it’s just packed with tourists haha. I explored St. Mark’s square and went up the bell tower to see a beautiful view of Venice. I shopped around a lot. I ended up buying some art and little glass animals for my brothers. They have tons of hand blown glass in Venice. I loved Venice so much and I really hope some day I can go back!
