What were you grateful for this week?

This week I am grateful for new friends!

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?
The most challenging part of this week was trying to get the kids to not fight with each other.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
I took the kids to the park a few times this week so that they could play soccer with their friends.

Tell us about your week!
This week has been very fun! I spent a lot of time in the city center this week and also met a couple other girls who are also involved with the program. It was so great to meet them and get to know them. It is a little lonely if you do not have a chance to make friends, but thankfully we have been able to hang out and become friends! I have seen even more of the city.

One of the girls I met with and I went to dinner and then after just walked around almost all night! It was wonderful to get lost in the city and explore. It has so much life, even if it is late at night! Another one of the nights the three of us met up for dinner. We walked around a beautiful neighborhood in Rome called Trastevere. The buildings all had the most beautiful shutters and the greenest vines covered the sides of the buildings. Later that night we went to dinner near the Pantheon and met some very nice locals who showed us around even more. They took us to the a gorgeous park that overlooked the Vatican and then to another beautiful park that overlooked the entire city. The views were breathtaking and it was nice to meet people that knew where things were.
