What were you grateful for this week?
This week I was grateful for people being so willing to take me in and help me see everything I could hope to and more.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?
The baby had a fever this week so it was difficult to try and take care of him while still playing with the older boy.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
A wow moment I had this week was when I got up and watched the baby in the morning because he was too sick to go to daycare.

Tell us about your week!
At my home in Idaho we have an Italian exchange student living with us and this weekend I was able to go stay with his family in Milan! It was so much fun and they were so incredibly kind. They took me everywhere they possibly could. My first day there I went to see the navigli river.

I was so lucky because I came on a Saturday which is when they have a market all along the river. It was so much fun to see all the things being sold, and walk around the crowded streets. We saw a famous Italian singer eating at a cafe and of course we went shopping. We also went to the duomo that day but the lines were so long there was no way we could’ve gotten in.

However, when we went back the next day we got in the line for mass and stayed for part of it. The duomo is absolutely beautiful inside and out. The stained glass windows and architecture are unbelievable, and the duomo is SO big! Mass was a really cool thing to be able to stay for as well and I’m so glad I did. I went to multiple art museums and even got to see one of michaelangelo’s statues and saw “The Last Supper” by Leonardo Da Vinci. I walked along famous streets filled with designer shops and got to explore the old castle. I love big cities and Milan was seriously so much fun and filled every expectation of mine!
