What were you grateful for this week?

I’m grateful for all the cold gelato on super hot days.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?
The humidity!!

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
I was able to attend B’s ballet recital after weeks of reminding me about it! It was so fun to be able to watch her perform!

Tell us about your week!
Summer has officially arrived in Merano and it is HOT AND HUMID!! It rains pretty often here (that is why it is so green and beautiful!) so that means it also gets pretty humid. I’m from the desert so it’s definitely an adjustment! Shoutout to Monopoly for keeping us busy on the rainy or crazy hot days!

This week B had a ballet showcase so I was able to attend her end of season performance in the towns oldest theatre! I love being able to see and experience buildings built hundreds and hundreds of years ago! That’s definitely something we don’t have in the states! Some days I’ll just be sitting and will casually look up to see a medieval castle sitting on the side of the hill. Its not a big deal to the people here but it’s a huge deal to me!

This Sunday i was able to travel to Bolzano (the closest “big” city to my town) to go to an LDS church service! Although I don’t speak Italian, I was greeted by some of the nicest people! The missionaries there were able to help translate the meetings and were a huge help! It was nice to do something here that reminds me of home! I’m super excited some fun trips planned the next few weeks!
