What were you grateful for this week?
I’m grateful for the good friends and people that I have met here!

What was the most challenging part of this week?
I spent a lot of time in social situations which was awesome, but it was also exhausting as they were all in Italian ????

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
I went to all of the school’s basketball tournament to support [my host family’s son] and his friends on the team.

Tell us about your week!
It was a good week! I was on vacation with my host family for most of it, as we went to Pesaro for [my host family’s son’s] basketball tournament, and that was good! It was a nice little get-away from Rome, but it did also test my Italian skills! I was really happy though, because through all of it, I understood most of what was going on. It seemed like a pretty good test of all of the Italian that I have learned over these past three months! ???? It was fun to be a part of the tournament, even just as a spectator!

I feel as though I have become a part of the team in these last three months, considering the fact that I went to practice 4 times a week with them! It was really fun to share in that sense of family and camaraderie!

I got home with my host family and then quickly took advantage of the weekend and went and visited my family in Lucca again! I love them so much and that was fun! I wandered the city with them, rode bikes along the city wall, and played games with their kids.

And then to top that off I saw a little bit of Pisa on the way home! It has definitely been a busy week, and I was definitely tired at the end, but it was all a lot of fun!
