This week I had tons of fun at the park with my host brother and his friend Vicky. While I don’t understand Italian and Vicky doesn’t understand English we were still able to communicate through smiles, laughter, and games.
On Friday I was able to meet three differentau pairs that my host mom had introduced me to. The four of us went out for dinner and I was so thankful because a couple days before I had gotten really sad because I was officially getting super lonely being in Ravenna without any friends.
This weekend J and I took a spontaneous trip with E to Perugia. I thought I would not be able to see J until we returned to SF and so we were incredibly excited to take this last minute trip together. Reconnecting with E was incredibly exciting as she was one of the first Rome Abroad travelers I met in Europe.
While this weekend trip was last minute, it was one of my favorite trips so far. E, J and I were all able to connect and click perfectly. We spent our days walking through the city center, enjoying delicious food, and seeing some of the most beautiful sights.
This weekend was much needed and I am so thankful for the amazing friendships I have made throughout these trips.
