What were you grateful for this week?
FaceTime!

What was the most challenging part of this week?
Being sick in another country!

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
I went to get haircuts with the girls because their hair was long and too hot in the Rome heat and they love their new hair now!

Tell us about your week!
This week was a little longer than the past few weeks. On Monday my girls woke up sick and did not really want to do anything. On Tuesday and Wednesday I got their sickness and we all did not really want to do anything. It is hard when both girls and myself just want to lay down, to do painting activities and games too.

This week I had some friends from home visiting Rome. I quickly introduced my friends from home to my new Rome Abroad friends. Both friend groups got along and we spent Thursday and Friday afternoons after work exploring Rome. We even talked down some guys in the street selling 20 euro hats to drop the price down to 5 euro each, so we all bought matching hats.

This weekend I decided to stay in Rome because one, I was sick and two, I had friends here. S stayed in Rome with me and my friends. We had a ton of fun together seeing the catacombs and Saint Peter’s Day here in Rome.

One of my new favorite foods in Rome is Soupli. (Gelato will never be replaced as my all time favorite.) But Soupli is a rice ball with mozzarella and tomato sauce that is fried. It is sooo good I think I will order it whenever I go out to eat here now. I started feeling better today (Monday) but am still spending most of the day watching tv and relaxing while my girls are at summer camp.
