I watched [my host family’s daughter] while she stayed home sick from school and my host mom was working. 

Tell us about your week! 
Tuesday was “Carnival” I don’t actually know what exactly it’s for but it was fun to see all the little kids dress up. It was kind of like a second Halloween, which is awesome. Other than that this week was pretty typical. 

This weekend I went to Pisa and Florence. Getting there was a little rough because I had accidentally booked my ticket for the wrong day, but hadn’t noticed until I was on the train. Luckily I was sitting next to some SUPER nice people and they helped me avoid the guy who was checking the tickets. When he got to our train car they told me to go hide in the bathroom and they would come get me when he was gone so that I wouldn’t get fined. haha! The people here are just so nice I love it. 

 

Pisa was sooo cool. I couldn’t get used to the idea that I was actually there. During this trip I keep wondering what my younger self would think if she could see what I’m doing right now. I seriously never thought I would be someone who got to do something like this. The Duomo in Florence is SO pretty. The color they were able to put into it is crazy. The river and bridges and all the little houses around it was just so cute. I bought a painting and a cute leather backpack while I was there that I love.
