What were you grateful for this week?
The sweetest host family. They bought me a birthday cake and helped me to have the best birthday while away from family and friends.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?
Missing the 4th of July. It’s my favorite holiday and I was sad I wasn’t in the U.S. for the fireworks.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
This week the kids and I made pancakes for breakfast. It was fun for them to flip the pancakes and to see what creations they could make with the batter. Afterwards we covered them in Nutella and ate them like tacos!

Tell us about your week!
This week has been amazing! We started off by going to the sea, which is always fun. To be by the beautiful blue water, collect shells and spent some time in the sun.
It was also my birthday this week, my host family got me a beautiful cake and a tour pass to go see the Vatican City (which has been on my to-do list). They sang Happy Birthday to me all day and once again so I could blow out the candle. They are seriously the best. Not only did they make my birthday the best they also took me with them on their family vacation!

We spent the weekend in Prague, Czech Republic. I didn’t know much about the city when we went but I fell in love with this beautiful city. Early in the mornings I would walk around the city before the streets would get busy with people.

We saw the city via the hop-on, hop-off bus, spent a day at the Prague Castle (it’s stunning), rented boats that you pedal on the river to have the perfect view of the Charles Bridge, ate traditional Trdelnik, and took a horse and carriage around the streets and much more.

I have fallen in love with this family, they are the most giving people and in a few short weeks have become a part of my family.
