What were you grateful for this week?
Gelato. For sure Gelato.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?
Figuring out how to get another bank card to Italy from the states.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
A wow moment this week was definitely spending my weekend playing with the girl I watch plus her two cousins while the parents got to catch up after not seeing each other since Christmas time. Lots and lots of games!!

Tell us about your week!

Another great week in Italy!! I decided to stay around my the city I live in to 1. Save money for other trips I have coming up and 2. Recover from having my wallet stolen haha.

Apparently one of the days this week was Italy’s Independence Day. They definitely don’t celebrate the way Americans do because I didn’t see one Italian flag decorated around the city or on peoples shirts. It’s interesting to see the difference between Italians and Americans in that aspect. There was live music and big crowds in the main part of town so that was fun to be around!

My host dad’s brother and his family came to visit this weekend. They have 2 little girls and they can all speak English so it was nice to able to meet and communicate with another! I spent most of my weekend playing with the girl I watch and her two little cousins! So lots of makeovers and dancing! We also had sushi (California rolls…so is it really sushi?) for dinner one night which I never expected to eat it Italy!

I really love the city I live in and am so glad I was placed here because I know I never would have visited it otherwise! It’s small, has a river running through it, has a gorgeous view of the alps and is full of flowers and trees! Seriously so pretty!
