What were you grateful for this week?
Again, my host family ❤️

What was the most challenging part of this week?
This is my last week in Italy, so it’s bittersweet for me.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
I just played with my host girl while I could and went out with the family a lot this week and made the best with the time I have left!

Tell us about your week!
This week is my last week here and it’s so sad getting ready to leave Italy. For me it’s saddest leaving all these people behind that you meet and these relationships and friendships that you form. Good thing we have the internet and phones and can call and talk to each other whenever we want!

I went to Matera this weekend and it was probably my favorite place so far, it was absolutely picturesque and charming and had an interesting history as well.
My bus on the way there was 2 hours late, I seem to have the worst luck with any kind of public transportation so you’d think at this point I would stop but NOPE.

Anyways, a lot of movies were filmed in Matera like Wonder Woman, the passion of Christ, and James Bond. It’s very old and it still has all of its old buildings and there aren’t many tourists there.

I also went to the beach with my host dad and my host girl, we rode bikes there! It was so fun ❤️

I’m excited to go back home but also it breaks my heart! I’m going to miss my little host girl and this family I’ve grown close with over the summer so much ❤️ It’s kind of surreal that it’s actually happening, but I’ve had an absolutely fantastic experience and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
So for now…..ciao, bella!
