What were you grateful for this week? 

This week I was grateful for the extra long weekend I got last minute. 

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?
The most difficult part of this week was the heat in Milan. 

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
This week I took my host brother to a birthday party in the park and watched him so that his mom could relax.

Tell us about your week!
This week I had a pretty normal week honestly. I am about 2 weeks away from leaving Italy and my 5 months in Milan will come to an end. Due to it being so close I have been trying to see everyone I know here at least one more time so that I can say goodbye to them.

 

This week I took my host brother to a birthday party in a park that is near our house. The party was all catered and even the entertainment was catered, so there were people there to entertain all of the children and play games with them. I was able to call my real mom back in the United States and chat with her for over an hour so that was really nice. I’ve done my normal work with my host brother and spent time with him. This week I also picked him up from his friends house and spent some time with him and his friends there. I entertained them by creating cool structures out of blocks. (It’s really easy to wow 5 year olds.) 

 

This past weekend I also went out with my American friend because I will be leaving her behind in Milan here soon and I am not happy about that. We’ve gone sun bathing in the park by our house a couple times in the past week as well to try and spend as much time with each other as possible.
