What were you grateful for this week?
That I was able to make it to Rome!

Getting over jet lag.

Tell us about your week! 
I got in Thursday afternoon and slept til the evening. The family has been really kind and great. I really like all of them, they have been really accommodating. I have been able to eat dinner with them every night and be able to learn about Italian customs and teach them a little about American culture as well. It has been weird for me to correct their English. It is so ingrained in me to not do that in the states because it is rude, but I am working on it.

The apartment is close to the Vatican and the Pantheon area. I walked down to that area on Friday. It was interesting to be back after two years and this time to be by myself. I realized that I probably need to make friends because it wasn’t nearly as fun to go site seeing alone. So I think I am going to maybe go out on a weekend excursion with some of the other girls.
