What were you grateful for this week?
The friendships I’ve made while here.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?
K and M finishing Rome Abroad and leaving!

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
Helped [my host family’s son] review his English before a big test.

Tell us about your week!
This week K and M finished Rome Abroad and were leaving Gallarate so we spent everyday hanging out trying to get the most out of our last days together. They have been with me since I came to Italy and I have done all my weekend trips with them. We have become close friends and I am bummed to see them go. But I’m still in Italy and ready to make the most of the month I have left!

This weekend I got to leave Italy and go to Ireland! I went with C who is another girl from Rome Abroad. Friday we got there and walked around Dublin, we made friends with two girls from our hostel and went out with them that night. We went to some Irish pubs and sang and danced and it was so so fun.

Saturday morning we left for a two day tour of the west side of Ireland. The most well known thing we saw was the cliffs of Moher. They were beautiful. The whole countryside of Ireland was so beautiful. It’s so green and filled with sheep. A lot of it was flat but there was also mountains and lakes. It felt like I was in a movie scene.

We also some really good food. After eating pasta almost every day for two months, I didn’t realize how much I needed something different. I had a lot of mashed potatoes, a beef stew, a seafood chowder, and vegetables and it was oh so good. It was also really refreshing to be able to speak English with everyone around me again! We finished Sunday night off in Dublin before waking up extra early for our flights back to Italy. It was such a cool place and somewhere I definitely want to come back to!
