What were you grateful for this week?
Travel buddies!

What was the most challenging part of this week?
Figuring out my future while trying to enjoy the present.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
I agreed to work some extra this week so the parents can go to a party!

Tell us about your week!
Ahhhhhh, this week. What a great time. I had fun hanging out with the kids and chilling after my long vacation. Plus, sunburn recovery, which is terrible.

I’ve come to realize that my host family is literally the greatest on the whole planet. They are so nice and willing to help and the kids are so easygoing.

It floors me that I’ve been away from home for a whole month, and it somehow feels like forever and a blink simultaneously, but I’m excited for the good times to come.

This weekend I traveled to Venice with L, N, and A, which was such a good time. It was so nice having friends to travel with! They were all hysterically funny as well, I felt like I was in a sitcom. Overall, having a girl squad is a 10/10 would recommend.

It rained pretty much the whole time we were there but it felt like an old-fashioned romance movie with the moody clouds over the bright colorful buildings, the little narrow alleyways, and the lights on the canals. We did not get to ride in a gondola, but we did get to see several, and that was fun. We also ate some really great food, saw Leonardo da Vinci’s modello of the perfect man, visited the Doge’s palace after dark, and went to the Basilica San Marco which is so cool.

Italy just has a beautiful surprise around every corner and I’m so grateful for that.
