What were you grateful for this week?
Eggplant pizza. Super good.
What was the most challenging part of this week?
I was trying to go to Verona on Sunday and the first train was canceled, and then the next train was delayed 40 minutes. That was pretty frustrating!
Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
We made cinnamon rolls! Lots of work but they loved them!

It’s fun to experience life in another country, to get to be a part of another family! I love getting to eat the typical Italian food for dinner every night, and then just hanging out with their family after dinner. It’s interesting to see how families all over the world aren’t that different from each other!
I also went to visit one of the castles in the town I’m living in during the week, and holy cow, the gardens were amazing! I love how many castles are up in these mountains! I also loved the viewpoints they had, the Alps are incredibly beautiful.
Verona was awesome too! My favorite part was the view from Castle San Pietro. Lots of steps up there but definitely worth it. It was amazing to see all the rooftops across the city, with the church steeples sticking out! The art and the architecture of Italy amazes me.
Juliet’s balcony was cool too. The person who decides to make a tourist attraction out of their house by claiming it was Juliet’s house is honestly a genius because they’re probably making bank right now. The only downside to Verona was that all the gelato was overpriced because it was so touristy haha.
