What were you grateful for this week?
My host family! I always have so much fun with them.

What was the most challenging part of this week?
I missed a train this week! I haven’t done that in forever! They changed platforms and announced it in Italian so I didn’t notice! It all worked out, but I was frustrated with myself.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
This week we did a pancake breakfast with homemade buttermilk syrup with my kids and the neighbors. It was super fun!

Tell us about your week!
This was my last full week in Italy! I can’t believe it. The time goes by so quick looking back. I had a good week with my kids. We did a pancake breakfast which was fun. This was my last weekend so I stayed home Saturday and then did a day trip Sunday. It was raining hard this weekend but I was grateful to escape the heat for a couple days! On Saturday I had dinner with my family and their family friends. I always love spending time with them and going to group dinners.

On Sunday I went to Bergamo for the day! It is probably one of my favorite cities that I have been to! I walked up to the old city on top of the hill and it was super cool and different. I was grateful that I got to see it before I leave. It was fun to explore and spend the day there. There are old Roman walls built there and I got to go down into a tunnel that was built beneath them. It was super interesting and had a lot of history. All of my trains were delayed on the way home. I definitely miss driving! However, I am grateful that I have learned public transportation it is definitely a useful skill! It is crazy that it is already my last weekend. I am going to miss my host family and this experience!
