Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
A wow moment I had this week was spending some of my day-off to help [my host family’s daughter] with an important English speech she had to give in one of her classes that was having a lot of anxiety about. 🙂 

Tell us about your week! 
This week was a lot of fun! On Monday my friends A, A2, and I visited one of the most famous attractions in all of Shanghai called The Bund. The Bund is a waterfront area surrounding the Huangpu River. It is essentially where the old style Shanghai (former Shanghai International Settlement) meets the modern style buildings across the River. We chose to go in the evening so we could see all the lights, and boy was it beautiful! It was incredibly crowded with foreigners, as well as Chinese people from other parts of the country. We were asked at least five times to stop and take pictures with people! I was beginning to feel like a celebrity! 😉

On Saturday, the Chinese celebrated a holiday called Children’s Day. The title does a perfect job explaining the meaning, essentially celebrating children for who they are and all the amazing things they do! I personally think America should start celebrating this holiday as well! During the day-time, it was a normal Saturday like any other, however the evening was one to never forget! We went to an amazing restaurant to indulge in one of China’s famous foods-hot pot! We had a spicy pot and a mild pot. Then we had tons of different meats, vegetables, and seafood to cook quickly inside the pots, and then amazing sauces to drench the food in before eating. I was truly amazed by how delicious it was! I am spoiled here in China, that’s for sure!
