What were you grateful for this week?
this week I’m 100% grateful for my awesome travel bud C.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?
the most challenging part of this week was really getting to know my place/duties around the house and making sure I had everything right. 

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
the wow moment is more directed to the nanny than my host family itself. I’ve noticed that she’s been extra busy this last week and insisted I didn’t help, so I did anyway without her knowing, just to help make things easier for her. 

Tell us about your week! 
okay so first off my birthday was on the 18th and my adorable host family surprised me with a birthday cake and sang to me in italian which was seriously the cutest thing ever! then C being the sweetie she is took me to lunch to celebrate. 

 

besides that the week was pretty slow aside from taking and dropping the kids off at their activities. the weekend on the other hand was just fabulous. my host mom was nice enough to let C sleep over one night so the following day we could go out. we went to the colosseum (that being the third time since i’ve been here) also made an awesome dancing video, we definitely had some stares during that moment lol. did some shopping, some sight seeing, and eating.

 

by the end of the day we had walked over 12 miles which we could have avoided by taking the tram or bus but we would have missed out on a hot walk through all the cool shops which we didn’t want to miss. the best part of the whole weekend though was FINALLY finding pineapple gelato. anyone who knows me knows that pineapple anything is my favorite thing. i went to countless gelatarias in search of it and finally found one they had it not to far from me. bless up!
