What was the most challenging part of this week?
Being patient and making it through these last weeks before going home. 

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
Helping in every way that I can. I’ve helped with redoing the lower floor for a new apartment for Nonna and Nonno.

Tell us about your week! 
This summer has truly been one to remember. I have learned so much while I have been out here, both about myself and about the Italian culture. My host family truly has been so caring and loving towards me since day one. I will keep in contact with them for a long time I am sure. They mean so much to me and everything they have done for me means so much! They constantly encourage me to go out and explore and learn new things about their culture. They also knew when I need their support and love the most when I became really homesick. I could not have asked for a better family while spending my time here. I also got to meet some amazing women while on this trip that I plan on keeping in contact with for a long time. They have really made this a wonderful experience and I have loved spending time and traveling with them.

 

I am very excited to get home and share all my experiences with my family, boyfriend, and friends. They have all been so supportive while I have been out here and have really encouraged me to just keep pushing forward even though it was really hard and mental health issues arose that I did not know would become issues while out here. I am very thankful for all the support the people I surrounded myself with offered to me.
