What were you grateful for this week?
Night taxi drivers.

What was the most challenging part of this week?

Getting stuck at a bus station at 1:00 am.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
Something I did extra for my host family this week was stayed home with Andrea when he was sick for most of the week.

Tell us about your week!
This week everyone and their dog got sick. It started out with [my host family’s son] the middle child of [my host] family. He got a terrible cough, fever and was not as high energy as he usually is. Sadly he had to miss a few days of school, but it was a good chance for me to speak english and get to know him one on one. One thing I have really missed was going to the gym back home, so this week I found a park near by and started running again which has been so good! The next person to get sick was another member of the Rome abroad group, T. She also had a high fever and a bad cough. It got so severe her host family had to take her to a doctor, luckily she got on some antibiotics.

The best part of the week was getting to go to Rome finally! I got to go through the colosseum, the pantheon, and the Rome LDS (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) temple, and saw the trevi fountain. We are all gelato addicts so we found this place that has 150 flavors!! It was to die for.

The scariest part of the week was coming home from Rome on a night bus and getting to the train station in Milan where no metro lines were running. Luckily there was a really nice taxi driver named Daniel who drove me home.
