What were you grateful for this week? How awesome my new host family is!

What was the most challenging part of this week?Saying goodbye to everyone in SLC.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. Since this my first week with this family my wow moment was bringing my new host parents honey from the “Beehive State” and a stairways lego set for [my host family’s son].

Tell us about your week! This week I came back to Milan after spending 2 weeks back in Utah. I was actually very excited to come back to Milan and join my new host family. When I arrived I finally got to meet [my host family’s son], he is so sweet and so smart. I am really looking forward to getting closer with [him] because I feel like we already have a good connection. My host parents are so welcoming and I’m extremely grateful for that.During the week I went to pick him up from music school. We would either play board games or go to the park and play soccer until it was dinner time. My host mom has been so considerate of me being vegetarian and makes me delicious vegetarian food for dinner every night. This weekend my friend from language school and I decided to go to Paris. One weekend in Paris is not enough — I could have stayed there for months shopping, eating and sight seeing. Our first stop was Arc de Triomphe, then we walked down the Champs-Élysées. That night we walked to the Eiffel Tower and enjoyed a bottle of wine on the grass. On Saturday we ate a delicious brunch and then spent the day vintage shopping. On Sunday we spent the entire day at Versailles.
