What was the most challenging part of this week?Helping siblings get along.
Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. I worked Saturday and Sunday.
Tell us about your week!I got a lot of free time this week because the family wanted to eat dinner with their friends so they let me go out on my own. I visited the main city of Rimini and went exploring in the old part of town, where I found an adorable little restaurant to eat at. I’ve been reading “Eat, Pray, Love” all week so I totally felt like Liz Gilbert eating a plate of homemade pasta as the sun set over Italy. I rode the ferris wheel, too! I also got a huge plate of seafood at a restaurant in Viserba one night. It was so big; I had no idea when I ordered it! The Italian lady sitting next to me talked to me on the way out — my Italian language skills are terrible, but I’m pretty sure she was congratulating me on attempting to eat such a large plate of food! Haha.
Last night, I watched Spiderman Universe (one of my favorite movies!) in Italian with the kids on the beach, and they were asking me lots of questions about it and we all cuddled on the same beach chair and it was so sweet. There is a girl who is in charge of children’s activities on our beach named Martina, and she’s a Rimini native but she also speaks English from school, and I love talking to her. We exchanged numbers so if she ever comes to America she can stay with me! 🙂
