What were you grateful for this week? This week I was grateful for my host mom’s niece coming to stay with us! She is 17 and so darling and has been in Bologna which is far from her home in Sicily and both of us were so grateful to have a friend our age with us during the week! Also grateful for my fam and friends at home, my host fam as usual, for Rome, for the metro, for Florence, and for old and new friends made this weekend!!!

What was the most challenging part of this week? The most challenging part of this week was totally my fault. Sunday, I left my passport with another girl and took another’s girl’s wallet with me on my way to Florence ahh!! So I had to train back to Rome. It all worked out I just didn’t have as long in Florence as I wanted to but what do ya do!!

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. My wow moments this week have been any time I have taken the kids to the beach or just hung out with them at the house while my host mom studies for a big exam she has coming up!! A mom’s time is precious and I know she super appreciates it!

Tell us about your week! What a week!! Can’t believe it was my third one! Time is flying by and going slow at the same time. This week I taught [the kids] about the seasons of summer and spring in English and we painted and colored A LOT (she loves to!) and danced and went to the beach! I love living so close to the ocean. Miss my lakes though!

My host mom’s niece came to stay with us this week so we have been sharing a room and one night me and my host fam all went out by bike and me my host mom’s niece went to this cute little pier and watched the sunset on the ocean and it was gorgeous and so peaceful! Another night, her and I went to a pizza place and gelato and walked around Rimini at night together! She is so cute and is learning English!

This weekend, I went to Rome and Florence!! Friday night I met up with A5 and we ate at Il Vero Alfredo which was SO DANG GOOD. Then E made it to our hostel and I lucked out with all the girls in my hostel room! Two of them were from UNC and two were from the Minnesota area and all of us became such good friends and had such a fun time together!

Saturday, A5 and I went to the Trevi Fountain which was BEAUTIFUL in real life wow! Then we got some gelato and split up and I went to the Sistine Chapel which made me cry I loved it so much. Then I met back up with a girl from our hostel and we got pizza and gelato together and then saw the Colosseum! Later that night we went out in Rome and had so much fun with our hostel group!

Sunday was kind of crazy, I trained to Florence, came back to Rome to get my passport, ate lunch in Rome, trained back to Florence and then saw the Duomo in Florence and did the Piazzale di Michelangelo which was the most beautiful view of the city!!! I was so happy to be back in Rimini too though! I walked SO much this weekend. Today I went to the beach with my host mom’s niece and the kids. I’ve got a week and a half left! Ciao ciao xoxo!
