What were you grateful for this week?my host girls.
What was the most challenging part of this week?realizing my time in rome is coming to an end.
Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.I helped the girls create birthday gifts for their nonno (grandpa) whose birthday is next week.
Tell us about your week! This week was great! The girls did not have any summer camp this week so they were home all day everyday with me. I love when it is like this because I feel like I can bond more with the girls. We have more time for crafts and games. My girls and I have realized our time together is coming to an end pretty quickly and we have to keep reminding each other to not bring it up. These girls have been the little sisters that I never had and I love them so much. I did not realize how much a part of the family I would feel at this point in my experience. As homesick as I am, I am sad when I think about leaving.
Anyway, over the weekend I had so much fun! I flew to Vienna with S and J2. We went to palaces, churches the amusement park and my favorite part was seeing LION KING!! I worked for Disney World for a year and Disney is a huge part of my life. In Italy Lion King does not come into theaters for another month! My host girls were so sad that they could not go to Vienna with me to see it and that they have to wait a whole month to see it. I loved visiting Vienna but the movie gave me a taste of home that I really needed to push through the rest of my time here. It’s crazy to believe that I only have a little over a week left!!
