What were you grateful for this week?Making new friends!

What was the most challenging part of this week?Getting sick.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.I helped clean up dinner when my host mom had a long day.

Tell us about your week! This week went by very quickly! My host children went to Sardinia with their grandparents so I was able to have a few days extra free to explore Italy! I had the opportunity to head down to Naples and then stay a few nights in Rome as well. I did a solo trip in Naples and it was beautiful! I went to the Palace of Naples, a classical art museum, the Archaeological Museum, and a modern art museum as well. Each place had their own styles and ways of seeing Naples. I saw beautiful paintings, incredible sculptures, and history that I wouldn’t have been able to experience back in the United States. For the weekend, I went to Rome! I met up with A5 and A3 and it was so fun to reunited with A5 and meet A3. We also became quick friends with our hostel roommates who have been studying in Florence.

That’s the best part of being in Italy and especially with Rome Abroad. You are able to make lifelong friends through the program, but also find others who are going through similar experiences as us. We were able to explore Rome and all that it had to offer. We went to the Trevi fountain (where my Lizzie McGuire dream came true), walked the cute side streets, and found secret places along the way.
