What were you grateful for this week?New friends!
What was the most challenging part of this week?Dealing with train strikes.
Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. I went with my host parents to my host child’s school to watch him present his final project he did for school. He designed a robot and was so excited to see me there to support him!
Tell us about your week! This week was a lot of fun! I stayed at my host family’s main condo in Pontedera and I loved the city they live in! It is like a mini Pisa.
This past weekend I met up with other Rome Abroad travelers for the first time in Milan and it was a blast! J2 and I met up with B, E and A6. We hungout by the Duomo all day and did some shopping in Milan. We then rode electric scooters around the city all day and night. I actually got to drive a vespa all by myself! Milan has these cool electric vespas anyone can rent with an app you download on your phone.
On Sunday morning we got breakfast, did more shopping and took plenty of pictures in front of the Duomo! Unfortunately we couldn’t go inside since the ticket line was so long but the outside of the Cathedral is beautiful all by itself! I had so much fun meeting up with B, E, and A6. It made me excited for my trip to Paris this weekend with A5! I’m a little sad that I met B on her last week in Italy since I loved meeting her and would want to see her again but I’m happy I got the opportunity to meet her! I also hope to hang out more with E since her host family isn’t too far away from mine.
