What were you grateful for this week?

This week I am grateful for the opportunity to make friendships with other girls through this program.

What was the most challenging part of this week?

The most challenging part of this week was getting my host brother to listen to me.

Tell us about your week!

This weekend I went to Milano and stayed in a hostel with a lot of other girls in the Rome Abroad program. It was so great to finally meet the other girls that I’ve been speaking to over messages. Milano has the most beautiful architecture. When I first arrive in the Milan train station, I was not only amazed at how large it was, but how beautiful it was. The entire city was built with so much detail. The duomo was jaw-dropping. The idea that people hand carved the entire cathedral was unreal. I was unfortunately not able to go inside due to time constraints but the outside of it was just as life changing. Getting to know a few of the girls was amazing. It’s nice to know that just from one weekend trip I have made a lifetime of of friendships. The memories I have made with these girls, I will remember forever. To staying in the same hostel. To shopping in both the sale shops and the brand name shops. To riding titanic style on a scooter across the entire town at 2am. I know that this will be not be the last time I see them and I’m positive we will meet again back in the states.
