What were you grateful for this week? New friends!

What was the most challenging part of this week?Missing home.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.I spent a lot of extra time with the kids to keep building our relationship.

Tell us about your week! Wowza. What a week. After all of the craziness last week, it was nice to have a slower one. I’m so grateful for this family and everything they do for me. It has really been such a neat experience learning about the culture first hand. The adventure has not been without its hard moments, but I wouldn’t change any of it.

The kids are doing well and enjoying summer. This week was thankfully a lot cooler, so we played outside a bit. We went to the sea which is always a great stress reliever and beats the heat. We have played a lot of card games and had several dance parties this week. One of the boys loves charades because he loves to make people laugh with his acting.

I went to Paris this weekend for Bastille Day! It was absolutely incredible and I would recommend it to everyone. I met a new Traveler too! We saw all the great sights of the Eiffel tower, Notre Dame, Sacre Coeur, and the Louvre. Since it was the biggest holiday in France, there were festivities going on everywhere. The museums and main attractions were free (huge bonus!!) along with a parade and fireworks! The crowds got a little crazy, but it was definitely worth it. My feet hurt from walking so much and my face hurts from smiling so much. I’m as happy as can be.
